WuDao is the world largest pre-trained language model to date. The model was trained with FastMoE, a Fast Mixture-of-Expert (MoE) training system developed by BAAI itself, on 1.75 trillion parameters.
Jiuding is the AI-computing platform which focuses on AI innovation support. It will provide 1000P computation capacity with 400Gbps high-speed interconnection per server, and support AI chipsets of different architectures.
Intelligence is a product of the mutual process of species evolution and natural selection over billions of years. In late 2020, BAAI set up the Life Simulation Research center and started development of eVolution, an intelligent model platform for life sciences, promoting the transition of artificial intelligence research from computing-based paradigm to neuromorphic paradigm. BAAI aims to study the mechanism behind biological intelligence and to point a way to the next generation of artificial intelligence, through building an efficient biological neural network simulation platform with cellular level morphology details. eVolution team will gradually deliver key technologies for in sillico study of biological brains at an unprecedented level of detail, working toward simulating large detailed neural network models (hundreds of millions of detailed neurons) in the near future.
